About project
Documentary series „Children of Stalinism“ made in coproduction of Czech Television and Sunfilms, in cooperation with FAMU tells political prisoners daughters of 50s life stories, from the times of communism up until today. Seven 26 minutes documentaries originated from political prisoners ‚daughters‘ audiovisual testimonies shot by students of FAMU with 37 political prisoners daughters. The project was co-funded by European Commission grant „Europe for Citizens“ and won European Commission „Golden Star 2008“ award.
Nominated for the "Magnesia" Award
Dear friends, we would like to let you know that one part of our series “Children of Stalinism” called “Swiss Robinson” (directed by Iva Jestrabova) was selected between 20 Czech best student films of the year 2011 and is nominated for the “Magnesia” Award.
The winner will be announced on February 4th, 2012, in the live program of Czech TV2. Congratulations !

Trailer for the emerging documentary series Children of Stalinism – part focused on sons of political prisoners.
We would like to present a trailer for WITHOUT BITTERNES – Documentary portrait of Jan Hlach and the tragedies and impact of the Stalinist era in former Czechoslovakia.
Shooting of the documentary series “Children of Stalinism – part SONS” is still in progress, anyhow we have presented it on June 23, 2010 during the SUNNY SIDE OF THE DOC film festival in La Rochelle.
